New Year, New Things

2009 will be here in a couple of days and I am excited what God has in store for the students of Dixie Lee. There will be some new things and changes that will be taking place. I'll share a few today, with more to come soon.

Beginning Sunday, January 11, the students will be meeting at the home of Mark and Linda Crofford from 5:30pm - 7pm for discipleship. We will be meeting there instead of evening worship. Mark Weeks will be leading in this time to help students take what they learn from God's Word and apply it to their lives.

Also, beginning on Sunday, January 11, there will be a change in Sunday Morning Bible Study. Right now there are two classes for students 7th - 12th grade. It is divided up between 7th-9th grade and 10th-12th grade. On January 11, this will change. We will be having a guys class and a gals class. The guys class will be taught by Jeremy Shoemaker and Doug Rhodus and the gals class will be taught by Megan Shoemaker and Christel Longmire. We will still be working our way through the Bible in each class. This will allow the classes to be more evenly numbered.

There will be more new things coming that I will post next week after a GREAT announcement during the morning worship services this Sunday. May God Bless you during this next year.
